France and Spain

France x Spain

As the 2017 has begun, you might be strarting looking for a holiday destination for the next summer. Basically, that’s why I decided to finally upload some pictures from my ‘France x Spain’ trip.

Half a year ago, in the end of September my friends and I went on a trip across France ending in Spain, Barcelona. Surprisingly, our first stop was in Lichtenstein, which is a little country in between Switzerland, Austria and Germany. We saw a munumental, but in the same time beautiful castle of Hohenzollern, which looks exactly like as it was caught up in a Disney movie.
The very next place we visited and stopped off in was Strasbourg, le petite France as they call it that way. I liked this place to much, it really appealed to me. After that we’ve seen Clermont Ferrand with its stunning architecture with the amazing cathedral in the forefront. Then as a final stop, we stayed in Barcelona for a couple days. On the way back we’ve visited Narbonne and Avignon, which were just gorgeous in its beauty.

Italy – Elba

Elba

We came to Elba after eight years, when we first visited the island.

Meanwhile, during the time between our trips to Elba, we’ve visited quite a few places inclueding some islands such as Šolta (Croacia) and Malta. Even though we’ve seen a lot, Elba amazed us and we found it really fascinating.

The experience of rediscovering all the places we’ve visited 8 years ago was fantastic. There were a few sea spots which we loved before and found them great this time either, such as ‘Best Beach’ and the black sand beach, which’s name I still can not remember, but yes, it was literally BLACK! According to the topic of beaches, my absolute favorite was the seaside in Chiesi. Such a beautiful area with a few gelateria’s and with the unbelievably aquamarine color of water, warm stones to lie on and relax while sunbathing. Outstanding, what’s more to say. There are also some view terraces, where you can see wonderful landscapes, beautiful mountains, gorgeous sea, deep green forests and stunning red, yellow and purple stones.

Not only was it a sentimental journey, but also a giant blast of visiting such a paradise. This time we’ve spent our vacation on the west side of the island and as it turned out it was even more beautiful than the one we’d already known.

Elba, by local people is called ‘L’Isola dei Colori’ and I can’t disagree, it’s like a drop of rainbow situated on the globe. Plum and lavender colred stones, blue: from deep dark blue to very light turquise tone of sea water, green trees and mint seledine stone which is a fundament of a few mountains, yellow, what to say, sand: from white through yellow and ohra to this previously mentioned black, then orange, red and even pink, colors of all the gorgeous flowers, for instance my favorite bouganvilla and oleander.

All in one word – the actual island of color.

Italy

Milan

Let’s begin from saying that I love Italy. I love italian language, Italian people, Italian coffee and of course Italian food.
We went on a Italy Tour and we’ve visited many places around northern Italy.
Starting from Venice, living on Lido di Jesolo we moved to Cinque Terre and  Genua, then we stayed in Milan. After that we went to Verona an Florence. Finally, on the way home we stopped in Bologna for a while.

Venice.
I found Venice as a wonderful, mystic place. I’ve beed there once before and I need to say that it looks exactly how I remembered it. It’s an old city, full of narrow streets, bridges and beautiful nooks. Romantic alleys and cul-de-sac’s. I am totally in love with this place.
My friends and I had great time strolling through the heart of Venice. However we’ve visited plenty of landmarks, we took some time just to taste the city. We went for long walks with fresh cappuccini and croissants in hand.
Venice left us a feeling that we have to come back to spend another Italian vacation there, to feel the atmosphere of the city one more time.

Milan.
Milan, absolute love of my life. Big modern city, where you can easily notice that it’s a city of fashion, design and architecture.
The city definitely showed off it’s beauty. As we spent a day walking through wide well designed streets and gorgeous pedestrian zone full of coffee shops and designer clothing stores. To crown our day we went to see Milan from the top of the cathedral. We went on a roof and admired the view, which was really impressive.
After the day in Milan I must admit that I have absolutely fallen in love with the city. And what’s more, I’ve started considering connecting my future life to this city.

Florence
City of renaissance. Artists’ and art lovers’ favorite. The city is really pretty, as you walk down the streets of Florence you can feel history of the place. There are some great museums to visit such as Uffizi museum and Galeria dell’Academia, where we can see masterpieces of Michelangelo, Giotto, Botticelli, Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio and many others.

To sum up, I’d like to say that I love Italy to the moon and back and possibility to visit all these wonderful places was something very special to me. During our travel I had innumerable situations as I came across random acts of kindness, which were for instance a question, asked whenever I ordered a coffee, if I’d like some cinnamon and cacao in it. These melted my heart and with my love to this country I need to say that I could spend my whole life right there, in the country of Italy.

Croatia

Croatia

Croatia, Šolta Island July 2013 and August 2014

Croatia.. the absolute paradise on Earth. Sea, sun, beautiful flowers and suculents everywhere. My family and I lived in an apartment with a small, but still pretty tarese with such a stunning view.  Every single morning, after waking up, I’ve been spending long hours on drinking my morning cup of tea, aromatic coffee or fresh orange juice and enjoying the sea views with romantic  music playing in the backgroung, which has just accentuated calmness and beauty of the island and of the moment.
All of us have been amused by swimming in the sea sessios, ice-cream-walks, photography trips, watching sunsets (once we’ve even went to see a sunrise). We were having fun from dawn to dusk and from dusk to dawn. We all have fallen in love with the place, so that during next summer we’ve visited exactly the same island, the same town, we have even rented  the same apartment. Both of our croacian vacation were perfect. I would willingly come there again and again. Wonderful place.
