France and Spain

France x Spain

As the 2017 has begun, you might be strarting looking for a holiday destination for the next summer. Basically, that’s why I decided to finally upload some pictures from my ‘France x Spain’ trip.

Half a year ago, in the end of September my friends and I went on a trip across France ending in Spain, Barcelona. Surprisingly, our first stop was in Lichtenstein, which is a little country in between Switzerland, Austria and Germany. We saw a munumental, but in the same time beautiful castle of Hohenzollern, which looks exactly like as it was caught up in a Disney movie.
The very next place we visited and stopped off in was Strasbourg, le petite France as they call it that way. I liked this place to much, it really appealed to me. After that we’ve seen Clermont Ferrand with its stunning architecture with the amazing cathedral in the forefront. Then as a final stop, we stayed in Barcelona for a couple days. On the way back we’ve visited Narbonne and Avignon, which were just gorgeous in its beauty.

Christmas Haul

It is quite obvious the Christmas season is on the go and that the moment of giving the presents gets closer and closer. On account of that, we are all starting searching for some wonderful ideas and looking for beautiful gifts for our friends and families. A few weeks ago there was such a crazy weekend of insanely active shopping – it was the BLACK FRIDAY – CYBER MONDAY weekend. Of course, as the majority of us, I went shopping too. I did that with one of my best friends and we had a blast! As we’ve spent the whole day on running from one store to another we did some good shopping! After that day I was almost done with my Christmas shopping, for real, there are hardly any presents letf to be bought this year! As some members of my stunning fam keeps reading my blog I cannot share most of the gifts I bought, but of course I can share some – I decided to upload the pictures of BATH AND BODY WORKS, THE BODY SHOP and MONIN products I bought. I thought it would  be interesting for you and I hope you’ll find my photographs pleasant to eye.
Did my best to share the CHRISTMAS MOOD, which is more then present in my heart at the moment.

Italy – Elba

Elba

We came to Elba after eight years, when we first visited the island.

Meanwhile, during the time between our trips to Elba, we’ve visited quite a few places inclueding some islands such as Šolta (Croacia) and Malta. Even though we’ve seen a lot, Elba amazed us and we found it really fascinating.

The experience of rediscovering all the places we’ve visited 8 years ago was fantastic. There were a few sea spots which we loved before and found them great this time either, such as ‘Best Beach’ and the black sand beach, which’s name I still can not remember, but yes, it was literally BLACK! According to the topic of beaches, my absolute favorite was the seaside in Chiesi. Such a beautiful area with a few gelateria’s and with the unbelievably aquamarine color of water, warm stones to lie on and relax while sunbathing. Outstanding, what’s more to say. There are also some view terraces, where you can see wonderful landscapes, beautiful mountains, gorgeous sea, deep green forests and stunning red, yellow and purple stones.

Not only was it a sentimental journey, but also a giant blast of visiting such a paradise. This time we’ve spent our vacation on the west side of the island and as it turned out it was even more beautiful than the one we’d already known.

Elba, by local people is called ‘L’Isola dei Colori’ and I can’t disagree, it’s like a drop of rainbow situated on the globe. Plum and lavender colred stones, blue: from deep dark blue to very light turquise tone of sea water, green trees and mint seledine stone which is a fundament of a few mountains, yellow, what to say, sand: from white through yellow and ohra to this previously mentioned black, then orange, red and even pink, colors of all the gorgeous flowers, for instance my favorite bouganvilla and oleander.

All in one word – the actual island of color.

Morning Inspiration: summer edition

Summer Blueberry Smoothie

Great for a hot, sunny morning. Really, I mean r e a l l y easy and r e a l l y delicious breakfast idea.
To make this beautiful and tasty smoothie, you’ll have to take some pre-frozen blueberries (they’ll taste much better if you freeze them by your own than if you buy them frozen at the grocery store) and blend them with oat milk. It will be quite nutritious and very very good!

South Tyrol – Alto Adige – Südtirol

Starting from what the aim of our trip was, we went there, to South Tyrol, to see the countryside of north Italy. We’ve visited some beautiful farms and talked to farmers. We got known about dairy production, bread baking and of course about apple and grape industry. We were told how wine, marmalades, pastries and cheese are made. Living in a rustic village was such an amazing experience and I’m going to tell you some more about it.
Visiting this part of Italy was really interesting, but actually it didn’t look typical for this country. That region is an autonomy, which used to be a part of Austria That’s the reason why the main language there was German. Most of people there have known Italian as the second language.
Local specialities such as anice bread ,breatl; cheese of mountains, bergkäse, marmalades and jams, honey made of flowers are so delicious. Also local cusine, quite similar to the austrian one is also quite good. In my opinion there is too little vegetables in the local one, but I think it’s mostly because lots Italians come there to taste this kind of cooking. On of my favourite dishes were ravioli with spinach and ricotta cheese, so mouth watering, delicious.
I think Südtirol is great for all kinds of artists, because visiting this wonderful village makes a very special opportunity to make some great pictures, the region is so pretty I’m telling you, to paint or draw, to write some romantic poems or to compose music while observing the calmness of nature.
Whole trip was so inspiring, we had so much fun visiting the farms, we’ve relaxed surrounded by stunning mountains and we’ve tried some delicious regional specialties. I think Alto Adige is such a wonderful place to visit and to get rest and actually to choose as a vacation destination.

Frappuccino

Frappuccino

Frappuccino

All of us, Coffee Lovers, would drink such a cold, sweet, coffee dessert with pleasure during these long hot days. To assume control of what’s hidden on the inside, I’ve decided to create my own frappe drink at home (I’m sure it’ll be a little healthier then the one ordered in a popular coffee shop).
ingedients:

  • two or three esspresso shots (depends on how strong your frappe you’d like to be)
  • whatever milk you’d like (I’m using a coconut one, it’s fantastic because it adds a bit of a beach flavour by the coconut aroma)
  • ice cubes
  • one scoop of good quality vanilla ice cream
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • cane sugar, if you’d like your frappuccino to be a little sweeter
  • homemade whipped cream
  • sprinkles, jamies, chocolate chips, desiccated coconut or any other thing to scatter the frappuccino over the whipped cream

Start from brewing espresso shots. If you would like to sweeten your coffee drink, it’s the best, to do it right now, when shots are still warm.
Fill your blender with ice and crumble unill it’s very fine.  Add espresso shots and milk. Blend it all together. Add vanilla extract and mix again.
Now, pour the drink into your fancy frappe glass. Put a scoop of vanilla ice cream into the glass. Create a topping with whipped cream and decorate with your sprinkles and chocolate chips.
Put a straw into the glass and voila! Enjoy your delicious coffee drink!

Croatia

Croatia

Croatia, Šolta Island July 2013 and August 2014

Croatia.. the absolute paradise on Earth. Sea, sun, beautiful flowers and suculents everywhere. My family and I lived in an apartment with a small, but still pretty tarese with such a stunning view.  Every single morning, after waking up, I’ve been spending long hours on drinking my morning cup of tea, aromatic coffee or fresh orange juice and enjoying the sea views with romantic  music playing in the backgroung, which has just accentuated calmness and beauty of the island and of the moment.
All of us have been amused by swimming in the sea sessios, ice-cream-walks, photography trips, watching sunsets (once we’ve even went to see a sunrise). We were having fun from dawn to dusk and from dusk to dawn. We all have fallen in love with the place, so that during next summer we’ve visited exactly the same island, the same town, we have even rented  the same apartment. Both of our croacian vacation were perfect. I would willingly come there again and again. Wonderful place.
