Every Saturday morning there will appear a short post about something I love in mornings, which are my favourite part of the day. It can be something to drink or to eat, something to wear, to look at or whatever other thing, that makes my morning beautiful.
All the posts about my morning fascinations will be attached with a hashtag #MorningEssentials, to make them easy to find and to make you able to share your morning essntials and things you like. You can share them with me and other readers on facebook, twitter, pinterest or just in comments below. 🙂

Day #1
During the weekend, when I have some free time I like spending these lazy mornings on reading magazines. One of my favourite newspapers is published monthly Women’s Health. I like reading articles about healthy lifestyle, low-calory recipes, getting known about new discovered activities and workouts, which are good for health. Also I love the section where there are tips how to take care of my skin and which cosmetics are reccomended to use. I find this magazine inspirational and it really does motivate me to live healthy.
Also it’s a good way to spend time in a relaxing way, with no electronic gadgets with me. Just me, the magazine, maybe a candle and a glass of iced tea? Yes, please!

Coconut Muesli Bowl with Fresh Fruit

Muesli Bowl

Coconut Muesli Bowl with Fresh Fruit
As I love breakfasts, I’d love to share with you my favourite morning snack ideas. One of my favourite breakfast recipe is a Muesli Bowl. It’s really easy and quick to prepare and it is so healthy and very nurtitious.
First, and the most imporant, ingredient is homemade coconut granola. It may seem a little problematic to make muesli at home, but it is really simple.
The idea of making our own granola arrived when my mom and I wanted to make a full of nurtitions, healthy one with no artifical flavours, glucose or fructose sirups and other chemichal addings which are packed in ready musli, which you can buy in grocery store. We’d started looking for a muesli recipe which could be made by us. We found a few, and after reading tons of recipes, we have created our own delicious recipe, which is loved by us and our friends who tried it. Here’s the link to my mom’s culinary blog, where the recipe is (also, because my mom’s page is written in polish, I’ll write the recipe below, so that all of you could read it, but still, It’ll be really nice if you visit her page; there’s a lot of other tasty recipes, which we can translate into english if needed 🙂 ).
Homemade Coconut Granola

To make granola you will need:

  • 350 g of oats traditional or mountain ( not instant )
  • 150 g seed and nut mix : sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, cashews , sesame paddy , almonds blanched or flakedor variant WITHOUT NUTS :
  • 500 g of oats traditional or mountain ( not instant )
the remaining ingredients in both variants :
  • 100g grated coconut
  • 100 g coconut flakes
  • 3 tbsp of coconut oil
  • 2 – 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • pinch of salt

Stir all the ingredients expect coconut flakes in a bowl. Mix  them and spread on a baking sheet, with baking paper on it, evenly. Bake in oven preheated to 180C or 360F for 20 minutes. Then, add coconut flakes, stir, spread evenly again and bake for 15-20 minutes, antil golden brown or beige. Be careful not to overbake your muesli flakes, it’s easy to make it happen.
Your granola it’s ready! Wait until it cool down to the room temperature. Crush the parts which have sticked together. And thet’s basically it! Your granola is ready to eat! It should be crispy and crunchy, not chewy like before baking. To storage it, we like to keep them in pretty jars. It’s useful and also really decorative. Enjoy!
To serve the muesli bowl, add whatever addings you like! I highly recommend natural yogurt and homemade jam, vanilla yogurt or any other creamy thing you prefere. Then, some seasonal fruits like raspberries and blueberries. And voila! Have fun with trying different fruits, nuts, chocolate chips, yogurt, creamy cheese and other stuff!

Berlin

Detail of a landmark

My friends and I went to Berlin to get out of everyday clamour. Obviously, we’ve been to some famous museums and we have seen the world-renowned landmarks. We’ve visited places as Berlin Wall Memorial or Jewish Museum, but the most of our trip was basesd on our needs, temptations and willingness. As the trip was in December, you can easly guess that we’ve spent a lot of time (and money) on christmas shopping! Also, because it was winter and it was really cold outside, we just had to shelter from the chill in a cafe, get some coffee, hot chocolate or tea. One of our preferred spots was Dunkin’ Donuts. We’ve come there every single day, as for lunch, dessert or evening snack. We have also tried some specialities form the Berlin Christmas Market like holiday treats, sweets, candies and partries. The trip was so successful and I undoubtedly loved it! Just to sum up, I’ll tell you that a trip to the modern city was so nice and if I had to describe it just in three words, it would be Christmas, shopping and donuts.

Homemade Iced Tea

All the iced teas together

So yummy and so easy to make! Great for a baking heat of summer days! What is it? Homemamde iced tea!
All you will need is your favourite tea essense, any sweetener you like (you can also prepare an unsweetened version of the drink) and ice cubes. It is also good to add some matching seasonal fruits or mint leaves to make the taste more sophisticated.
In here, I’ve made a few different kinds of iced tea:

  • Hibiscus  unsweetened iced tea with fresh mint leaves
  • Green tea with pickled pear flavouring sweetened with classic white sugar and decorated with red currant
  • White tea sweetened with cane sugar, decorated with blueberries
  • Classic black tea with honey and lemon

Have fun with experimenting with different kinds of tea and addings. Enjoy your drinks!

Paris

Paris

Paris  September/October 2014

Paris, the ciy of poetry, the city of art, the city of love.. We all can agree that Paris is a magical place, where every day dreamer will find a place for himself. I found Paris as a lovely place which definitely received a place in my heart. Paris is literally one of my favourite places on Earth. The city is really big, and so varied. You can find places like Champs Elysees or Luxembourg Gardens, which are really well-kept and royal standard pretty, but also the ones where less wealthy citizens live, with eclectic grocery stores and flea markets, where there is a little messy, liveful atmosphere. I guess that everybody can find just a right, perfect place for the one, where he can feel great. My best-loved part is the Latin District. Tiny local-speciality stores, exceptional amount of book shops, cafes with delicious coffee served, flower shops where there are tons of flower bouquets, potted plants, little trees and more greens exposed out of the store, covering the side walk, smelling fantastic. When you walk down a street, heaps of senses reach your mind. Ideal, feeling of pleasure. By the first time I was in Paris, I’ve fallen in love, absolutely adored and apriciated it. As it was my first time there, Paris has nested in my heart. Whenever I think about Paris, I am full of warmth and nice memories. Whenever there’s be any occasionto visit Paris, I would go there whithout even a word of doubt. I just cherish Paris so much and I will always love this city.

Croatia

Croatia

Croatia, Šolta Island July 2013 and August 2014

Croatia.. the absolute paradise on Earth. Sea, sun, beautiful flowers and suculents everywhere. My family and I lived in an apartment with a small, but still pretty tarese with such a stunning view.  Every single morning, after waking up, I’ve been spending long hours on drinking my morning cup of tea, aromatic coffee or fresh orange juice and enjoying the sea views with romantic  music playing in the backgroung, which has just accentuated calmness and beauty of the island and of the moment.
All of us have been amused by swimming in the sea sessios, ice-cream-walks, photography trips, watching sunsets (once we’ve even went to see a sunrise). We were having fun from dawn to dusk and from dusk to dawn. We all have fallen in love with the place, so that during next summer we’ve visited exactly the same island, the same town, we have even rented  the same apartment. Both of our croacian vacation were perfect. I would willingly come there again and again. Wonderful place.
